In all Situations, Inquire from The LORD.

The Book of 1st Chronicles 14:8-10 tells us that “Now when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went out against them. Then the Philistines went and made a raid on the Valley of Rephaim. And David inquired of God, saying, “Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?” The Lord said to him, “Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand.

Verses 13-17 of the same book declares that Then the Philistines once again made a raid on the valley. Therefore, David inquired again of God, and God said to him, “You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees. And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching on the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines.” So, David did as God commanded him, and they drove back the army of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer. Then the fame of David went out into all lands, and the Lord brought the fear of him upon all nations.

Brothers and sisters, what have we learnt after reading these passages? Every situation in our lives, we should seek the LORD before making any decisions that will impact our lives, others and family. GOD is not far from us. His decisions will benefit us.

David’s enemies were defeated because he inquired of The LORD, and the LORD fought his battles and destroyed his enemies. The LORD is a battle Stopper, our Loving Father.

We should also learn to wait on the LORD.

I do know a sister, a servant of GOD, who went on a mission trip to another country without inquiring from the LORD. Yes, The LORD protected her because of His love that is so great and compassion that is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23), but The LORD was offended with this sister, so upon her return, she fasted and prayed asking for mercy from our Loving Father Who came through, and forgave her.

Although GOD was offended because she did not inquire from Him regarding the trip, her enemies were still destroyed.

His mercy is rich and renewed every morning in our lives.

Praise The LORD. Hallelujah!
