Humble.
Brothers and sisters, Scripture declares, we must “love one another” John 13:34 as Christ Jesus loves us, that we be transformed spiritually so that the Spirit of God can dwell in us, we must “walk in the spirit” Galatians 5:16 and not in the flesh, for the flesh amounts to nothing. Be kind, do good, filled with love, no more deceit, no more lies, no more gossiping and so on.
The Book of Philippians 2:2-11 tells us, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or deceit, rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to His own advantage; rather, He made Himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to death—even death on a cross!” “Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest place and gave Him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus Christ every knee must bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge (confess) that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father Almighty.” (NIV).
Hallelujah!! Jesus is God. Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. But Jesus, God the Son humbled Himself, descended into this wicked wilderness we call home for the sake of love, can we love one other the way Jesus loves us? For God is love, and He expressed His love for us by sending Jesus to die on the Cross for us, to buy us back from Satan’s territory at a “High price.” (1 Corinthians 6:20; 1 Corinthians 7:23)
Brothers and sisters, we are commanded to love, and not hate. We must humble ourselves because God hates proud look, He cannot look at you if you are proud and filled with “anger, gossiping, deceit, jealousy, idolatry (extreme admiration) fornication, but put on tender mercies, kindness, patience with one another, forgiving one another, but above all these things put on love, which is the bond of perfection well pleasing to the Father.” Colossians 3:1-17). Always care for your brother and sister, love and do not hate.
Please remember that whatever you are going through in life, such as suffering, disappointments, rejections, lack of finance, hardship, pain, and so on. It is not permanent, for it is written, “After I have suffered a while God will perfect, establish, strengthen and settle us.” 1st Peter 5:10 For He is the God that does all these. Please read the Word of God, believe, trust in the Lord, hope in Him alone, and “cling unto Him” Jeremiah 13:11 for “He is our Stronghold.” (Psalm 9:9) Amen!!
