Jesus Christ was “made manifest in the flesh” for the sake of love, (1st Timothy 3:16) because of the sins of the world, which was from Adam and Eve. The Bible tells us “Jesus was by the Father during creation, as a Master craftsman, daily His delight rejoicing always before Him.” (Proverbs 8:27-30) without Him things that were created would not have been created, but He stepped down into this wicked wilderness we call home for the sake of mankind.
The book of (Isaiah 7:14) talked about the birth of Jesus thousands of years before He was born. Isaiah said, “The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son and shall call His name Emmanuel.” (Meaning, God with us)
The book of (Luke 1:26-35) also declares the story of the birth of Jesus. He came as flesh to dwell among us. And He did.
Jesus came to seek and save that which was lost. (Matthew 18:11-14). (You and me). Scripture tells us, if you have 100 sheep, and one of them goes astray, will you not leave the 99 and go after the one that has gone astray, and then you will be happy? so Jesus came in-order to buy us back to the Father. (That one lost sheep).
Again, if you lost one gold-earrings that you love so much, you will search and search for it until it is found, then there will be peace in your heart. When Jesus goes after one soul, He waits, sometimes for so many years. He is very patient, for example, Jesus waited for me for so many years while I dwelt in Egypt and roamed around the wilderness. He then delivered, and transformed me, and called me His servant. That is love.
Jesus who walks on gold in heaven, richer of the richest, willingly surrendered Himself to be crucified. Yes, He was crucified by the Roman soldiers for the sake of love, for the sake of our eternal life. (John 3:16). For “God is love.” (1 John 4:7). What a manner of love, love that is so great, (very intense) but He is Risen! Jesus is not in the grave; the grave is still empty. Scripture tells us Mary Magdalene and the other women bought spices to the tomb that they might anoint the body of Jesus, but the tomb was found empty. An angel spoke to them saying Jesus is Risen. He is not here! (Mark 16:1-11).
Spinoza, a Scholar argues. “Miracles are violations of natural law, natural laws are immutable, it is impossible for immutable (unable to be changed) to be violated, therefore, miracles are impossible. Believe or not, God performs miracles, extraordinary miracles.
But a Scholar Wright N.T. Affirm. “The main evidence considered usually consists of the post‐mortem appearances.” (Jesus’ appearances after His resurrection). Jesus appeared to His disciples several times and had meals with them. He even prepared breakfast for them by the sea. Apostle Peter said, “we were eyewitnesses of His Majesty.” (2nd Peter 1:16). Jesus told the disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit, (the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit descended upon them) and that was what caused the total transformation. The disciples were fearless, they proclaimed Jesus even to death.
“Jesus also appeared to James His half-brother who was an unbeliever.” (1st Corinthians 15:7). and “appeared to more than five hundred brethren’s at once.” (1st Corinthians 15:6). “He also appeared to the two men on the road to Emmaus.” (Luke 24:13-34). “And Cephas.” (1st Corinthians 15:5). Mark 16:19 tells us, “Jesus was received up to heaven.” The grave is empty. Hallelujah!
Thank you, Jesus.
