Parents.

Parents.

As parents, we watch our little children grow from infants to adults, and learn things sometimes on their own, and by parents and siblings.

As parents, most times, it is difficult to let go of our little ones, even though they are of age.

Our Lord Jesus Christ was 13 years old when His parents mistakenly left Him behind in Jerusalem after the Feast of Passover, but Jesus wanted to stay behind at His Fathers house. His parents went about a day’s journeys before they realized that Jesus was not among them, so they went back to Jerusalem and searched for Him. Jesus said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49) NKJV).

At about age 13, Jesus wanted to go about His Father’s business, to start preaching the kingdom of God, to proclaim His goodness. He questioned the Rabbis’ /the Teachers of the law; Jesus was satisfied just siting in the Temple listening to the Teachers.

The Church is His business, as Jesus has returned to the Father, we must go about our Father’s business.

Charles Haddon Spurgeon added. “Behold then, how great an interest God the Father takes in the work of salvation. It is called “His business;” and though Jesus Christ came to accomplish our redemption, came to set us a perfect example, and to establish a way of salvation, yet He came not upon His own business, but upon His Father’s business, His Father taking as much interest in the salvation of men as even He Himself did, the great heart of the Father being as full of love as the bleeding heart of the Son, and the mind of the First person of the Trinity being as tenderly affected towards His chosen as even the mind of Christ Jesus, our substitute, our surety, and our all.” Amen.

As parent, Jesus’ mother and Father were worried about Him.

We must let go of our children when they are of age, so they will learn. Jesus questioned the Rabbis/Teachers of the law; Scriptures tells us they were surprised at His knowledge.

As mothers care for their little ones, Jesus even loves, and cares for us more, love that is so great and intense. Jesus Christ, who was by the Father as a Master craftsman during creation, things that were created were never created without Him, who walk on gold in heaven, richer of the richest, had to step down into this wicked wilderness we call home for the sake of love for mankind, for the sake of our eternal life. Can you please surrender to Him? Submit to Him? Please receive His love, His sweet love. OOHH! Sweet Jesus.

Amen!
