Alive in Christ.

Living as Those Made Alive in Christ.

Brothers and sisters, as Christians we must persevere to be Christ-like, to be transformed. We must put on the Lord Jesus Christ so as not to lust the things of the flesh. (Romans 13:14).

Jesus Christ died on the cross and we have been raised with Christ, we must set our hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. (Colossians 3:1-3) Our live is hidden with Christ in God, so we must set our minds on things above, not on earthly things.

Brothers and sisters, please put to death your earthly nature/character: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires, and greed, which is idolatry. (Excessive desires of something). (vv.4-5)

The Lord is coming soon, you who once walked and lived in these ways, please get rid of them, kill it. You must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. (vv.6-8)

Stop lying to each other, since that is the old man, and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Image of Christ. (vv.9-10)

Please brothers and sister, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another, if any of you has a grievance against someone, please forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which is the bond of perfection, which binds them all together in perfect unity. (vv.12-14).

Please receive peace from our Lord Jesus Christ, allow His peace to rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful always, praising the Lord, worshiping Him.

Whatever you do, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. (Colossians 3:1-17). Amen!

“Please put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires/lust;be renewed in the attitude of your minds;and to put on the new self, the new man, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” (Ephesians 4:22-24). “You must have the Spirit of Christ living in you.” (Romans 8:9).

The book of Romans 12:2 also advices us “not to be conformed to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of our mind.” (Romans 12:2) (NIV).

2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come, and the old has gone. Hallelujah!

Please let go of the old man in you.

Character in the New Man are:

Tender mercies, kindness, humility, patient, bearing with one another and forgiving one another. Please forgive as Christ forgave you, but above all these things put on love which is the bond of perfection. And it is well pleasing to the Father. (Colossians chapters 1,2, and 3).

Brothers and sisters, let us allow Jesus’s footsteps to be our pathway, imitate Jesus, be spiritually transformed to be Christ like. Amen.

Regarding your character, what have you been able to let go?

-Have you been able to let go of pride?

-Have you been able to let go of verbal abuse?

-Have you been able to let go of Lies?

-Have you been able to let go of your condescending ways?

-Have you been able to let go of Gossiping?

-Question, what have you been able to truly let go? (2nd Corinthians 5:17).
