In this season we must make straight our path because a voice cries out in the desert prepare the way of the Lord. In turbulent times, we must focus on Jesus and make straight our path, we must make our heart straight, let the old man in you to go and allow the new man to step in.
Preparing the way of the Lord can also mean:
To change the way one talks.
The types of friends one keeps.
One’s anger level.
Also, to avoid arguments.
Please remember, New Wine and the Old Wine cannot mix well together, so please let go.
Mankind has inherited good and bad characteristics from generational parents, so the saying is, “it is human nature” but if we walk in the Spirit, we will think and act differently than others because we are a “New Creation, old things must pass away and behold all things have become new.” (2nd Corinthians 5:17) We must walk as children of Light, for our Father is intensely Holy.
It is easy to sin (to fall on the wayside during turbulent times or medicate ourselves with alcohol or food, this is the reason we must make straight our path by allowing the Lord to take the driver’s seat in our lives. We must also pray more, for example, by increasing the temperature of our prayer lives 100 degrees more, also call on the Lord Jesus until He stands/stop and ask what can I do for you?
Please pray for others, individuals you know and those you do not know, and avoid conflict in turbulent times, be calm and focus on Jesus.
Brothers and sisters, we can also overcome turbulence or storm by doing good, and situations will be resolved in a positive way, which gives one joy and gladness in place of sorrow.
Scripture advises us to walk in the spirit, if when one walks in the Spirit, anger and sadness will not linger in all situations because one automatically develops the fruits of the Spirit according to the book of Galatians 5:22. (Love, Joy, Peace, Goodness, Kindness, Gentleness, Self-control, Faithfulness, and Patience).
As children of God, we must not be conformed to this world, (do not comply, do not do as the world does) but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Romans 12:1-2). (NKJV). This is the will of God in our lives, the key here is to renew the way you think, the way you talk, for your character/behavior to be transformed, for Christianity is change, change in one’s character.
Please walk as children of Light, “let the old man go and let the new man come which was created to God in truth.” (Ephesians 4:22-24)
The Lord is crying out in the wilderness for you to renew your mind, kill the old man in you please, and be Christ-like, to be transformed daily, spiritual transformation. “For we were once in darkness, but now we are light in the Lord, we must walk as children of Light.” (Ephesians 5:8). And “Put on our Lord Jesus Christ in order to quench the lust of the flesh.” (Romans 13:14).
Amen!
